PURPOSE:To increase the intensity of a diffraction image of a diffraction grating spectroscope at a focal plane, by focusing an image of a light source on an incident slit by using an out-of-axis spherical mirror. CONSTITUTION:A light from a light source 1 focuses an image on an incident slit 3 by a light source condensing mirror 2 and an incident light is reflected by a plane mirror 4 and then, is converged by a light condensing mirror 5 to make incident to a diffraction grating 6 at a Monkgrees on type spectroscope. Zero-order light is reflected by the grating 6 and is focused into the image of incident slit 3 at the position of converging point of the mirror 5 and the position having the same distance S to the grating 6. But, this position of image formation in only a horizontal face of the incidert slit and the distance P to the position of image formation in the vertical direction is largely extended. Accordingly, the image of the source 1 is formed in the rear from the slit 3 in the vertical direction by using an out-of-axis spherical mirror as a light source condensing mirror 1 and the slit images of horizontal and vertical direction are formed on a focal plane 7 of diffracted light. Hereby, the intensity of diffracted image on the focal plane is increased. |
