<p>The mechanism adjusts the position of fired upright roofing tiles in U-shaped firing modules, the latter travelling along a conveyor track. Below the track (1) is a lifting table (5), moved up and down by a ram (7), and with ribs (6) on both sides of the track. These engage with the underside of the tiles (3), which protrude from the modules (2) on either side, so as to lift them briefly. The ribs are moved to and fro on the table by a further ram (8). The mechanism ensures that the tiles are packed tightly together before they are unloaded by a grab and banded to form packets, thus reducing the risk of damage.</p> |
