The throttle (3) of the carburettor is operated by a plunger (16) attached to a membrane (14) in an actuator (6). The actuator contains a second membrane (13). The space (19) on one side of the first membrane is open (20) to atmosphere. The space (27) between the membranes and the space (24) on the other side of the second membrane are each connected to a valve (10,11) which can put them in communication either with atmosphere (30) or with the suction pressure (9) downstream of the throttle. The second membrane carries a lug (23) which projects towards the first membrane and limits its movement. This gives a simple, three-position actuation.
|
