<p>The gate assembly includes a pivoting closure part. It is pivoted to move from a closed position at which the closure part extends across an opening, to an open position to one side of the opening. The closure part is supported by a device pivotable about a vertical axis laterally spaced from and in register with the opening. The support adjacent the closure part is adapted to rest slidably upon a fixed rail. The opening is defined by the parallel walls of a crush or race. The support may include a frame connected to one side of the closure part exteriorally of the crush and disposed in a plane at right angles to the closure part.</p> |
