The vertical support strips (33) of a filing card for index strips (13) form integral parts of a welded plastic sleeve which fits over a plastic backing sheet (11). The sleeve is located by two end cut-outs or slots, which extend intermediate the upper and lower marginal edges of the backing sheet (11).
