The invention relates to a device for replacing an orifice plate fitted in a pipeline while the operating pressure in the pipeline is maintained. The orifice plate frame supporting the orifice plate is withdrawn from the flow cross-section and is moved into a sluice which can be separated from the flow cross-section by means of a shut-off element and from which the orifice plate frame is removed after pressure relief. Gear racks used hitherto for the transport of the orifice plate frame caused many difficulties and a substantial outlay. In contrast, a device according to the invention is characterised in that the lifting mechanism is a threaded spindle (20) which is held in a threaded bushing (32) and which can be driven by means of a rotational movement of the latter, and in that the lower end of the threaded spindle (20) is a component of a coupling which interacts with a coupling part formed on the orifice plate frame (14) and can be actuated by means of a rotational movement of the spindle (20). The invention furthermore extends to a novel design of the shut-off element as a roller body having a slot which is formed in the central area and through which the orifice plate frame is guided. This results in a substantial reduction in the technical outlay and simplified assembly and handling. <IMAGE>
