The wheel, which may be a driven or non-driven guide wheel for a tracked vehicle, comprises a wheel rim (1) attached to a wheel hub (6) by a bolt (4), a bush (2), resilient rings (3) and resilient discs (7,8). The rings (3) are vulcanised to the bush (2) and are in a biassed state in a bore (22) of the wheel rim. As a result of the elastic suspension or fastening of the wheels, a metallic contact between the wheels and the wheel hubs can be completely avoided. Thus, all shocks introduced from a track onto the wheels (or vibrations) caused by the polygon effect can be smoothly intercepted.
