PURPOSE:To obtain a photoreceptor which is highly sensitive, durable and is highly resistant to heat, moisture, etc. by contg. a specific disazo pigment having a benzimidazole ring in a photosensitive layer, particularly, in the electric charge generating layer of double photosensitive layers. CONSTITUTION:The pigment expressed by the formula I [A is H, halogen, lower alkyl, alkoxy, NO2, acylamino, B is a coupler having aromatic characteristic and is expressed by formulas II-IV, where X is a residual group forming naphthalene, anthracene, carbazole, dibenzofuran rings by condensating with a benzene ring, and Y is -CONR1R2, where R1 is H, (substituted) alkyl and phenyl, R2 is (substituted) alkyl, phenyl and naphthyl, and R3 is (substituted) alkyl and phenyl] is added to a photosensitive layer, particularly the photosensitive layer of a 3 layers constitution photoreceptor consisting of a conductive layer, an electric charge generating layer and an electric charge transport layer. Thereby, the photoreceptor of superior charging characteristics and durability is obtained. |
