PURPOSE:To obtain excellent space resolution over a broad wavelength region by providing a diffraction grating of the spectroscope comprising an input slit, a collimator mirror, the diffraction grating, a camera mirror, and an output slit, so that the grating is formed by a circular cylinder face having converting action in the direction of a groove. CONSTITUTION:The luminous flux from the input slit 1 becomes the approximately parallel luminous flux by the collimator mirror 2, inputted to the diffraction grating 30 at an incident angle alpha, dispersed and reflected at a reflecting angle beta, converged by the camera mirror 4, and reaches the output slit 5. The diffraction grating 30 is formed by the circular cylinder face having the converging action in the groove direction, and its radius of a curvature is rT. The radii of curvature of the collimator mirror and the camera mirror are r1 and r2, and the incident angles are phi1 and phi2. Thus the equation is satisfied. In this constitution, the excellent space resolution in the longitudinal direction of the slit is realized in the broad wavlength region. This device is suitable for obtaining spectroscopic data for many points by one spectroscope especially in the nuclear fusion experiment. |
