In a device (1) for holding electrical components (2) such as keys, switches or such like, on a circuit board (3), the latter is provided with a baseplate (12; 22) fitted with contact pins (13), which baseplate can be braced via the component (2) or directly with the circuit board (3). For this purpose, the baseplate is held in a movable manner against the force of one or more springs (15) in the housing (11) of the component (2) and is supported on the circuit board (3), together with the housing (11) of the component (2). For direct bracing of the circuit board (3) to a baseplate (22), the latter can also have a projection (24), gripping through the circuit board (3), a compression spring (25) being supported between the projection (24) and the circuit board (3). This design allows solder-free contacts to be made, since the contact pins are pressed against the conductor paths which are coated onto the circuit board. This arrangement avoids both the holes for the contact, to be machined in a circuit board, as well as all the additional tasks associated with soldering. The component just has to be clipped onto a circuit board in order to produce a reliable, long-life electrical connection. <IMAGE>
