PURPOSE:To obtain a photoelectric converter having high photo amount resolution, by providing a optically shielded element having the same characteristic as the photoelectric conversion element for every group making dynamic scanning of the photoelectric conversion element. CONSTITUTION:Photoelectric conversion elements S1-1-S54-64 constitute linearly aligned 3456 elements. The photoelectric conversion elements transmit the optical input information on signal lines D1-D64 every 64-element with scanning circuits A1-1-A45-64, Q1-1-Q54-64, N1-1-N54-64. Near the photoelectric conversion elements, reference resistive elements R1-R54 having the similar characteristic as the photoelectric conversion elements are provided and they are completely optically shielded. Compensation resistive elements B1-1-B54-64 and bias resistive elements T1-T54 are provided, and the characteristics of them are the same as those of the photoelectric conversion elements. Thus, the deviation of characteristics among the photoelectric conversion elements is decreased and higher optical amount resolution is obtained.
