<p>A decoder for PCM signals modulated in a TV-format signal with a control data word for use in the control of a decoding operation. The processor is provided with a PCM signal decoder (12, 13, 14), means for extracting the control data word from the TV format signal, means (24, 25) for latching the extracted control data word, means (29) for checking agreement between a newly extracted control data word and the latched control data word, and means for applying the agreement-checked control data word to the PCM signal decoder. </p> |
