PURPOSE:To obtain a head shell having a large internal loss for vibration, a weight lighter than Al, a good workability, and a high stiffness, by calcining a material, where >=50wt% synthetic mica is included and one or more of natural mica, glass, etc. are mixed, after pressure molding. CONSTITUTION:>=50wt% >=1 kinds of synthetic mica indicated by KMg3(AlSi3 O10) F2 or RxMgy(Si4O10)F2 (R is an alkali metal and X and Y are optical numbers) and the rest material, where >=1 kinds of natural mica, glass, talc, phosphoric acid, phosphate, etc. are kneaded and the aqueous solution of a mucilage such as starch and latex is added for the purpose of improving the raw strength for molding. The compound material is then dried in air after pressure molding. Next, this dried material is sintered at >=1,000 deg.C in a kiln to produce head shell materials. The obtained calcimed ceranic can be cut by a superhard steel tool without requiring a diamond tool. The organization consists of ceramic layers, and vibration is attenuated rapidly. |
