[Also in Division B2] A pasties film comprising a nylon substrate, having a primer coating of a polyurethane and a barrier coating overlying the primer coating consisting of a copolymer of vinylidene choride with at least one of methacrylic acid and its alkyl esters, acrylic acid and its alkyl esters, acrylonitrile, methacrylonitrile, vinyl chloride and itaconic acid, the copolymer containing 88-96% by weight of vinylidene chloride is laminated to, a polyethylene film using an adhesive. Between the primer coating and the barrier coating there may be a waterproof coating consisting essentially of a copolymer of 70 to 95% by weight of vinylidene chloride and 5 to 30% by weight of acrylonitrile. Where a substrate film may be ¢ to 5 mils thick the polyurethane coating may be 0.005 to 0À05 mil. thick, the waterproof coating (if present) may be 0À01 to 0À15 mil. thick and the barrier coating may be 0À08 to 0À032 mil. thick.</p> |
