Device for fixing one or more plate elements in a transportation palette 4, for example printed circuit boards 21 containing electrical components for transportation to a dipping or soldering station, in which a board 21 is fixed in an opening 6 by means of a sprung holder 3. By the use of a palette material which is several times thicker than the board 21 which is to be held and by the fact that the sprung holder 3 has principally U-shaped legs 8, 9 which grip around the edge 5 of the palette opening 6 and a backward-oriented finger 11, 12 projecting into the opening 6 and a sprung tongue 15 which holds the board 21 in place by a snap action, a fixing device is achieved with which it is easy to install the printed circuit board 21 when putting it into the holder 3 or when taking it out, which provides a secure fixing and a holder 3 which does not lose its sprung characteristics as a result of coatings of flux, solder, etc. <IMAGE>
