<p>1292285 Centrifuge ESCHER WYSS Ltd 24 Oct 1969 [30 Oct 1968] 52306/69 Heading B1D In order to make maximum use of the filter surface of outer centrifuge drum 3 of the shown pusher centrifuge, a feed funnel 17 is provided to direct the flow of material from feed conduit outlet aperture 25 directly onto the inner surface of drum 3 when reciprocating centrifuge drum 2 moves to the left. In operation, feed is directed from aperture 25 by feed funnel 13 onto the inner surface of inner drum 2 when drum 2 moves to the right, but as soon as drum 2 begins to move back to the left, motor actuator 22 moves end 20 of feed conduit 11 to the right so that outlet 25 discharges into feed funnel 17 and directly onto outer drum 3. When drum 2 begins to move back to the right, motor actuator 22 moves end 20 to the left so that opening 25 discharges into funnel 13. A controller device may be provided to control the times at which and/or the quantities of fresh material which is fed to the individual drums 2 and 3, and the relative reciprocating movement of end 20 and drum 2 may also be controlled.</p> |
