PURPOSE:To remove a toner attached to brush filaments and to recover charging ability by sliding a conductive brush along the surface of a recording body, moving it in the axial direction, and engaging it with an attached toner removing means. CONSTITUTION:Voltage is applied to the conductive brush 10 and the brush 10 is brought into contact with the surface of the recording body 1 in the brush recording system. When the brush 10 slides in contact with the surface of the recording body 1, and if the toner remaining on the body 1 intrudes among the filaments constituting the brush 10 and attaches to them, charging ability is deteriorated. At that time, the brush 10 is manually drawn in the axial direction 15 to slide the brush and bring the filaments of the brush 10 into contact with the attached toner removing means 12, resulting in removing the toner attached to the filaments, thus permitting the attached toner to be removed and the recording body to recover in charging ability, and to be stably charged by executing the manual operation of drawing the brush at each necessary time. |
