Plastics encased signal cable - with metal screened core

Signal cable has a braided metal screen surrounding the core. Over the core is a separating sheet of pref. polyethylene terephthalate and an outer polyvinyl chloride jacket. The separating sheet has an adhesive lacquer on the jacket side and a layer of pref. polyethylene, or a copolymer of this, on the screen side and pref. pressed into the screen's interstices during sleeving. The separating sheet may also be Al foil.
