The invention concerns an arrangement for heat treatment of food products, which arrangement comprises a chamber 1, which is divided by a partition wall 5 into a continuous baking zone 6 and a drying zone 7, and a process chain conveyor 2, which has an upper running part 3 and a lower running part 4, and which is arranged to carry a large number of cassettes 27 to accommodate open cans 16 with a food product being processed, which cassettes can be opened and closed, wherein the smaller chain wheel 18 of the conveyor 2 has a tooth division which is equal to three link divisions of the chains 17. Each cassette 27 has two support ribs 28 and 29, which are arranged at the output side of the running parts 3 and 4 of the conveyor 2. A lengthwise edge for each support rib 28 and 29 in the same cassette 27 is outwardly bent in the direction of the other similar support rib. Each support rib 28 and 29 is joined by its ends to a pair of pins 22 on the different chains 17 of the conveyor 2 by means of a similar pair of pins and provided with side plates 30 and 31 that are fastened to its end surfaces. The side plates 30 and 31 arranged at one side are hinged to each other by being freely arranged on a pair of pins 22, which are arranged in the same cassette 27 between said two pairs of pins 22.
