PURPOSE:To prevent deformation and movement of a coil, by a method wherein insulating boards which are provided around the coil are held between split into two spacers having notched grooves of a plurality of positions on their circumference and after these spacers are mated, welding beeds are applied to the respective notches. CONSTITUTION:Insulating boards 4A, 4B, 4C, 4D of a material such as FRP are provided around a superconductive coil 3A which is fixed and hardened into a race- track shape by one-body forming by a method such as molding, and the outside of the boards 4A-4D is surrounded by a pair of spacers 5A, 5B which are separated into upper and lower portions and on the circumference of which a plurality of holes 6A, 6B, 6C and a plurality of U-shaped notches or grooves like slits 7A, 7B, 7C are provided and which can be deformed elastically. After these spacers 5A, 5B are mated and fixed to each other, welding beeds 9A, 9B, 9C for adjusting compression force are applied to the respective recessed notches 7A-7C, and the spacers 5A, 5B hold the coil 3A with the insulating boards between them and the coil by their own elasticity. Thus the superconductive coil 3A is protected from deformation and movement, so that it is fixed and stabilized completely. |
