Supply circuit for emergency lighting - has first switch changing from normal to standby supply and second switch changing from normal to standby light

The supply circuit has a change-over contact (8) switching over from the normal lighting (a) to the emergency standby lighting (b). The latter has a power than the normal lighting. The normal supply voltage (1,2) is monitored (9) and change-over to standby lighting occurs when the voltage and/or current drops below a given value. A second change-over contact switches out the normal supply (e.g. 220V, 50Hz) and switches in the standby supply (e.g. 220V, 18kHz or 24V, 0Hz) to the input side of the first change-over contact - which connects it through to the standby lighting.
