Wiper for motor vehicles

A wiper assembly for installation in a motor vehicle is described. The said assembly consists of an electrically driven pump (25) for spraying a washing fluid on a glass window or headlight cover (12) and of an electric motor (32) for driving an appropriate wiper blade, this motor (32) being provided with an electrical change-over switch (55) which, under the control of the motor, can either assume a position of rest or a working position depending on whether the shaft of the motor (32) is in one or other of a plurality of angular positions, and the wiper blade moves correspondingly into a position of rest or working position on the glass window/headlight cover. The most important feature of this wiper assembly consists in the fact that, when in its position of rest, the controlled change-over switch (55) permits the pump (25) to be fed with electrical power and, when in its working position, permits the motor (32) to be fed with electrical power. <IMAGE>
