<p>An adapter for testing printed circuit boards has contact pins corresp. to the board connections and to the connections on a test unit intermediate adapter and a contact mounting plate (6) which can be adapted to suit different boards. The mounting plate can be replaced by a plate suitable for different test boards without adjustment without requiring it to have a contact fitted at each matrix point. The contacts on the mounting plate each cover four adjacent matrix points. The mutual centre-to-centre separation of the contacts (11) corresp. to the necessary mutual minimum separation of the test connection points in a doubled matrix. The contacts (11) on the contact mounting plate are applied to the contact pins (2) on the intermediate adapter (3,4) using a sprung mechanism.</p> |
