摘要 The invention relates to a tube reactor (tubular reactor) for carrying out photochemical reactions, which makes it possible to arrange for the photochemical reactions to run rapidly, continuously and without backmixing, to irradiate the reaction medium under a large solid angle and to achieve a maximum irradiation flux per unit length. The reactor according to the invention consists of the discharge body, which accommodates the reactor cavity and bounds the discharge cavity, the electrodes attached thereto, and the pipe stubs suitable for supplying and discharging the reaction medium. The inner wall of the discharge body can be coated with a material reflecting the radiation, while the outer wall of the discharge body may have metal or an interference mirror layer applied to it. The inner wall of the discharge body and the outer wall of the reactor cavity can be coated with a luminescent material. The tube reactor according to the invention can advantageously be employed in all photochemical reactions which require high-energy UV irradiation, for example the destruction (break-down) of organic substances in aqueous solutions, synthesis of special organic substances or the bacteriological disinfection of stretches of water. <IMAGE>
