<p>The stand-by energy source, which can be put into service without any interruption or with a slight break only, in particular an electric supply source, consists of one or more electric rotary machines, a flywheel or some kind of an auxiliary energy source, e.g. a heat engine. Said units are engaged with three elements of a planetary gearing arrangement, having been arranged around the central shaft and two of them is additionally interconnected via a drive branch with infinitely variable transmission. Expediently, the electric rotary machine, which serves as a generator, when the voltage of the main drops out, is connected to the arm of the planetary gearing arrangement, while the flywheel is connected to one central gear of the planetary gearing arrangement and the auxiliary energy source is connected to the other central gear thereof. The machine requiring the continuous energy supply may be a generator, a pump or a mixer, as used in the chemical industry etc. </p> |
