PURPOSE:To eliminate bevelling work for commutator materials and to contrive the improvement in productivity, by a method wherein concave sections are formed at the upper position of the opposite side surfaces of the commutator materials and after combining the materials and mica segments, a sliding section is formed by applying cutting up to the place of the concave sections. CONSTITUTION:When drawing formation is done with a die for drawing commutator materials 12, concave sections 13 and 14 having slant segments 15 inclined to the upper part of the inside are formed at the location in the upper part of the opposite side surfaces of the materials 12. After providing the materials 12 and segment mica 16 in peripheral shape by alternately combining them, the materials 12 and the segment mica 16 are cut up to the location exposing the slant segments 15 of the materials 12 by using a cutter 2 for under cut, and a brush sliding section is formed. In this way, the formation of a bevelling section by the slant segments 15 eliminates bevelling work as a separate process. |
