A dispenser (10) for dispensing photographic sheets from a stack (40), comprising a dispensing mechanism with first (24) and second (25) sheet buckling members to make the upper sheet (41) buckle, and to lift and then to release the leading edge of the buckled sheet to allow it to move under recovery forces of the sheet into a forward position beyond the end of the stack (40) of sheets.
