<p>The invention is concerned with a porous molding obtained by extruding a mixture containing at least one material selected from porous inorganic materials and carbonizable organic materials and at least one binder therefor in the form of threads or strings, accumulating the thready or stringy extrudates to form a mass, and then drying and sintering the accumulated mass. When the at least one material is an organic material, the sintered mass is carbonized in a non-oxidative atmosphere and then activated as usual.</p> |
