PURPOSE:To reduce a load applied to an equipment at the time of short-circuiting and make the equipment compact by a method wherein the amount of an output voltage reduced when impedance exceeds the load for actual use is detected to extract a short-circuiting current. CONSTITUTION:The output from an invertor 3 is fetched out of output terminals 8a, 8b as a DC output. When load impedance becomes smaller than a load for actual use (region indicated by shade lines), a load line moves from point C into a constant-current region. When the load impedance still decreases, the output voltage also decrease in porportion to that of the load impedance. When the output voltage decreases beyond point A, an output voltage detection circuit 6 detects that decrease and sends a control signal to an output current detection circuit 7. The control signal follows the load diagonally because of a control circuit 2, rapidly reducing a load shorting current. |
