PURPOSE:To offer an economic flexible plastic-welding material, which enables simplified welding operation, by burying a heating wire in the interior of a filament body comprising a thermosetting resin. CONSTITUTION:A plastic-welding material 1 comprising a flexible thermosetting resin (e.g. PVC), in which a heating wire 10 such as nichrom wire is buried, is bent along the groove at bevelled edges 4 formed in the peripheries of members 2, 3 to be welded, and surrounded with the members 2, 3. In this state, an electric current is supplied to the exposed parts 11, 12 of the heating wire to heat the heating wire 10. Consequently, the welding material 1 and the members 2, 3 to be welded are melted and made integral. When the power supply is cut and then the exposed parts are cut off, the welding material and the members to be welded are cooled and joined. If cavities 40, 40' are formed in the parts of the bevelled edges and two heating wires are located in the cavities, the members are welded more rigidly. |
