PURPOSE:To obtain the ornamental dial having a pattern of a bonded part, in the case the dial of wrist watch and the like whose ornamental face is significant is manufactured, by bonding and fixing two or more kinds of metalic mateials, rolling and machining the metals in the direction so as to reveal the bonded part on the surface. CONSTITUTION:Square or plate shaped raw material pieces 11 comprising copper and the like, and square or plate shaped raw material pieces 12 comprising a metal whose melting point is lower than the material 11 such as silver are alternately arranged on the same plane in parallel so that they contact each other. Under said arranged state, heat treatment is performed at a temperature which is higher than the melting point of the material piece 12 but lower than the melting point of the material piece 11, or the temperature close to the melting point of the material piece 12 in a furnace and the like wherein atmosphere of inactive gas and the like is maintained. Thus the material piece 12 is fused or half fused, the material pieces 11 and 12 are bonded, and a compound block 2 is obtained. Then the block 2 is rolled in the longitudinal direction of the material pieces of 11 and 12 by a roller 3, and thin compound plate 4 having a thickness of about 0.1-0.8mm. is obtained. The thin plate is polished, and punched to obtain a raw dial plate 5, graduations 6 are formed and the work is finished. |
