<p>PURPOSE:To perform a stabilized power plant operation even when the wind velocity rapidly changes by establishing a criterion for selecting the load of generator based on a rotary speed of a windmill. CONSTITUTION:When wind velocity V is rapidly changed from velocity V1 to velocity V2 a windmill 1 fails to accelerate its speed rapidly, moving from operating point A from operating point B. The input of a stable operation control unit 14 is Nm<Nm', generating a signal Sm for an unstable region operation. An output controller 15 opens a main contact point 15A and disengages loads 12a to 12b from a generator 2, and restarts a motor control unit 6 and drives a starting motor 5. Therefore, the windmill is relieved of all loads or receives no load. Then the windmill 1 moves to a safety operation region and operation point C and connects the loads 12a to 12d to the generator 2, thereby effecting a stabilized power plant operation even when the wind velocity is rapidly changed.</p> |
