PURPOSE:To make a two-side copy regardless of paper carrying direction of a printer, by specifying a case where arrangement of character is inverted around an axis parallel with the long side of a print paper and a case where arrangement of character is inverted around an axis parallel with the short side of the print paper according to the binding margin position of the print paper. CONSTITUTION:A host system 1 sends a print information to a printer 20, then the information is analyzed by a command analyzing section 21 and transferred to a surface control section 22 which analyzes the information and arranges a character pattern in a memory. Then the host system 1 sends an inverting direction information corresponding to the binding direction to the printer 20, and the inverting direction information is analyzed by the command analyzing section 21 so as to activate long or short side directional inversion specifying sections 41, 42 thus specifying the inverting direction. Upon receipt of a command, a print control section 24 finishes print on the front face and the paper is inverted by a paper inversion mechanism in the printer 20 so as to finish print on the rear face. |
