PURPOSE:To obtain a stable laser output of short total length from a gas laser tube by using an enclosure and mirror support of metallic cylinder as a cathode and a metallic mirror support of the coaxial structure and insulated from the cathode as an anode. CONSTITUTION:A fine tube 1 is supported by a glass fine tube supporting wall 3, and an enclosure 8 deposited with a cathode 5 is insulated via the wall 3 from mirror supports 11, 11' and is thus connected. A mirror 4 is sealed by the mirror support 8 of the enclosure 8, while a mirror 4' is sealed by the mirror support 11' of the support 11 operating as an anode. With this structure, the entire length can be shortened. Since the enclosure 8 is formed of metal, the difference of the expansion amount due to the temperature difference at the upper and the lower parts of the enclosure can be reduced and the influence to the inclinations of the mirros 4, 4' is reduced, the laser output can be stabilized. |
