PURPOSE:To improve the reproducibility of a receptor in the visible light region by using a specified disazo pigment as a charge generating substance. CONSTITUTION:This electrophotographic receptor has a photosensitive layer contg. a disazo pigment represented by the general formula (where X is an aromatic ring such as a benzene ring or a naphthalene ring or a heterocyclic ring such as an indole ring, a carbazole ring or a benzofuran ring; Ar1 is an aromatic ring such as a benzene ring or a naphthalene ring or a heterocyclic ring such as a dibenzofuran ring; Ar2 is an aromatic ring such as a benzene ring or a naphthalene ring; R1 is H, lower alkyl or phenyl; and R2 is lower alkyl, carboxyl or its ester). As a charge transferring substance poly-N-vinylcarbozole, polyvinylindoloquinoxaline, polyvinyldibenzothiophene or the like is used. |
