PURPOSE:To obtain the oxygen electrode in which the adhesiveness of an oxygen- permeable diaphragm to a cathode is excellent and which has a stable output almot free from drift and change in sensitivity and excellent processability, by using as the cathode the electroductive resin in which particles of precious metals, including Pt, Au and Ag, or C are dispersed. CONSTITUTION:On the inside wall of a bottomed and tubular body 1 made of insulating material, for instance, an anode 2 made of Pb or Zn is provided, while the cathode 3 formed on the electroconductive resin prepared by dispersing the particles of precious metals such as Pt, Au and Ag into silicon or Teflon is provided in such a manner that it blocks up the opening of the body 1. In the cathode 3 holes 9 are made and the oxygen-permeable film 4 formed of polyethylen, silicon, Teflon or the like is held on the body 1 with a ring 5. The inside of thereby 1 is filled with K2CO3 or the liquefied mixture of K2CO3 and KHCO3. In addition, lead wires 7 and 8 connecting the anode 2 and the cathode 3 with outside terminals are provided. Since the cathode 3 is made of flexible resin in this way, its adhesiveness to the diaphragm 4 is excellent and thereby stable output can be obtained. |
