<p>Appts. for placing runners on closures moving forwards intermittently has a spreader for holding the closures relative to each other, this spreader cooperating with first pincers which block the closures on the spreader, and second pincers which can be pushed together and blocked, and a punch placed between the two pincers for placing the runners on the closures, this punch acting in a direction perpendicular to their movement. The two pincers, the punch mechanism and a common control mechanism which ensures the closing and opening of the pincers during the forwards and return movements of the punch, respectively, are mounted on a common frame to form a compact unit. The appts. places the runners fully automatically on plastic closures with high accuracy. The appts. is compact and reliable.</p> |
