[Also in Division B8] A tractor 12 draws a trailer body 2 by means of a gooseneck assembly 14 comprising a torsion draft bar 15 secured to the trailer by bolts 28 passing through flanges 25 of the bar 15 and through the plates 21, 22 of the trailer side members which latter are provided with openings 23, 24 opposite the bar 15. The openings are closed by plates 31, 32 which can be removed to provide easy access to the bar 15. Steering is effected by rams 18 extending between the gooseneck and a coupling structure 17 embodying swivel connections for rocking, tilting and turning movements. |
