<p>PURPOSE:To prevent contamination of environments by agitating and discharging the limestone powder which is being pneumatically fed under air pressure into a limestone slurry tank under air pressure. CONSTITUTION:The air during receiving of limestone powder from a jet pack car 1 in a silo 2 and the air flowing at all times from an air slide 6 flow as waste gases carrying part of the limestone powder through an exhaust conduit 9A into a scrubber 17, where the air is scrubbed by the system makeup water 16 from a spray nozzle 20 in a demister 19. The air separated and removed of dust by this scrubbing is released to the atmosphere through an exhaust conduit 18. The makeup water laden with the dust is discharged into a tank 15 for lime water slurry. Even when the air pressure has increased considerably on account of the clogging of the demister 19, a discharge pipe 21 is immersed into the slurry 24 to the depth corresponding to a prescribed internal pressure value, and therefore the dust-laden air has its dust absorbed by the slurry 24 when injected into the slurry 24, and only the air is exhausted through an opening part 25 via a port 23.</p> |
