PURPOSE:To increase the dielectric strength and to reduce the cost remarkably, by fitting an O-ring at both ends of a ceramic plate, abutting the O-ring pressed to the ceramic plate and making vacuum in a waveguide. CONSTITUTION:The upper and lower ends of a ceramic plate 7 is fixed with a flange 10, an O-ring 11 is put closely together between the ceramic plate 7 and the flange 10, and the three components are made to airtightness by bringing into contact with them with points A, B, C. Since the O-ring can freely be deformed with a pressure externally, e.g. a shim 12, the airtightness can be made easily. Since no silver soldering is made for the airtight construction, the permissible power for microwave can be increased. Even if the ceramic plate 7 is destroyed, the airtight construction can easily be restored by replacing the ceramic plate 7 and the O-ring 11 only. |
