<p>PURPOSE:To enable translation even if a language to be translated is unknown, by setting a mother language based on the characters of inputted content. CONSTITUTION:A means which sets a mother language based on the characters of inputted content is provided. For example, Kana (Japanese syllables) are inputted if it is Japanese, and when letters with Umlaut are inputted, then the language is German. If a key input 1 is made as Strasse, it is coded at an encoder 2 and stored in a register 3 and displayed on a display section 9. A character discriminator 10 compares a character storage 11 with the register 3 and it judges that the language must be German because ss is included. Information is given to a coincidence section 4 from the section 10 via an output control section to discriminate if it coincides with ''Strasse'' of German language out of language memory 6, and when the translated language is Japanese, the display is made as ''Toori'' on a display section 9.</p> |
