A retaining lock armature for parachute harnesses having a housing part and a pin part which can be inserted into it and which, in its front section, has a backwardly directed retaining spring which, in its retaining position, abuts, by means of its rear edge, which passes transversely over the direction of insertion of the pin part, against a corresponding edge in a retaining aperture in the housing part and can be released from the said position by means of pressure on the retaining spring in a direction at right angles to the direction of insertion of the in part. In this connection, the retaining spring of the armature is provided with a securing member which, when the armature parts, housing part 6 and pin part 7, are coupled together and/or used, automatically fixes, and thereby secures, the retaining position of the retaining springs. When the armature parts are being separated, the securing member has firstly, for allowing the retaining spring to be released, to be displaced in a direction which coincides with the direction of insertion of the pin part or forms an angle with this direction. <IMAGE> |
