The present arrangement, designated a "stand that can rotate and tilt", has been constructed to carry film projectors or other instruments which require adjustment in the vertical and lateral direction. The construction consists of a tiltable stand A of familiar type, on which is mounted a disk for attaching the projector, and a swivelling disk D on which the stand of familiar design is firmly mounted. This disk is supported by a disk E with frictional liner. The upper disk is held down and guided in lateral direction by guide rollers with suitable conical shape. The conical shape allows an easy adjustment of the play between the disks D and E by intermediate washers or by means of threads and locking nuts. In order to easily lock and loosen the projector, one uses the projector's vertically moveable foot K, which is fitted into the T-shaped recess R. The round handle facilitates the turning of the stand and the stop arrangements O, S and P prevent the mains supply cable from turning more than one revolution. Furthermore, there is a brake arrangement T, V and U, which can increase the friction between the disks D and E. Advantages of this stand design are simple construction and adjustment, while at the same time the large soft friction surface between the disks D and E provides good stability without troublesome looseness. <IMAGE> |
