<p>PURPOSE:To read in a bar code of comparatively lower accuracy without error, by comparing and discriminating only relative magnitude of read-in time width for each module of a bar code and recognizing with width and narrow width modules. CONSTITUTION:A detection signal from a bar code pen 10 is wave-shaped 14 into a rectangular wave, the time width is measured 16 and stored in each area T1- T7 of a memory 18. It is read out 20 and transferred to the 1st register 22 and it is compared 26 with the content of the 2nd register 24. In the register 24, a value smaller than the minimum value possible for measured time width is stored in advance as the initial value. Thus, the measured value stored in the register 22 is selected as the maximum value finally.</p> |
