PURPOSE:To reduce weight, increase specific modulus of elasticity and improve thermal resistance by constituting a diaphragm of a speaker of sandwhich structure by stucking surface materials on the surface of a core material and using foamed styrene - maleic anhydride copolymer as a core material. CONSTITUTION:A platy diaphragm of sandwich structure is formed by bonding surface materials 2, 2' of high modulus of elasticity made of light metal such as Al or plastic composite material such as fiber reinforced plastics on a core material 1 made of foamed styrene - maleic anhydride copolymer. Thus, the diaphragm is made light, high in specific modulus of a elasticity, excellent in acoustic characteristic and improved in thermal resistance. |
