PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive material undergoing a remarkable change in color and having high alkali solubility at the exposed part by adding >=1 kind of reaction compound of 1,5-diaminoanthraquinone and naphthoquinone-diazido-5- sulfone chloride to a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The compounds represented by formulae I, II are obtd. by dissolving 1,5-diaminoanthraquinone and naphthoquinone-diazido-5-sulfone chloride in a mixed solvent of acetone and chloroform and by reaction them at room temp. after slowly dropping a satd. soln. of NaHCO3 until the pH reaches about 8. The compound of formula I is orange and has 267 deg.C m.p., and the compound of formula II is reddish orange and has 284 deg.C m.p. The compound of formula I or II is dissolved in ethylcellosolve or the like together with cresol-formaldehyde resin or the like, and the resulting coating soln. is applied to an Al plate and dried to manufacture a photosensitive material. This material is exposed through an original and developed with an alkaline developer to remove the discolored exposed part by dissolution. A fine image of high contrast is obtd. at the unexposed part. |
