PURPOSE:To easily label an antigen or an antibody by using mero-cyaine dye as a labeling agent having substituents including carboxyl group in the heterocyclic ring. CONSTITUTION:A merocyanine dye which has substituents including carboxyl group in the heterocclic ring as shown in the formula, is added to insulin and reacted to label the resulting product. The labeled antigen thus obtained is reacted immunochemically, and the product is dropped on the film painted with unexposed AgBrCl, then exposed to the light of wavelength which is absorbed by the dye. After developing this film, the blackening density on the film obtained by fixing, washing with water and drying according to the ordinary procedure, is measured by photographic densitometer. According to this process, an antigen or an antibody is easily labeled and the trace of them is detected. |
