PURPOSE:A delayed drying oily ink, containing an anthraquinone dye expressed by a specific structural formula and an alcoholic solvent as principal components, and having improved stability with time. CONSTITUTION:An ink containing (A) preferably 1-40wt%, based on the total weight of the ink, anthraquinone dye expressed by formula I [R is methyl or ethyl; n is an integer 1-20; Y and Z are H, -NH, -NP- (P is methyl, ethyl, phenyl or tolyl), etc.; W and X are H, OH, nitro, formula II or III] and (B) preferably 30- 99wt%, based on the total weight of the ink, alcoholic solvent, e.g. ethanol or methyl cellosolve. The component (A) is obtained by dispersing and dissolving the general anthraquinone dye in a solvent, and reacting the dye with propylene oxide or butylene oxide in the presence of a catalyst, e.g. an alkaline carbonate. |
