PURPOSE:To properly control a load balance between respective motors, by performing arithmetic on a roll diameter ratio, and by controlling a control degree for the motors according to the fluctuating degree of the roll diameter ratio. CONSTITUTION:By rotational frequency detectors 10b, 10c, the rotational frequency of a carrier roll driven by DC motors 1a, 1b, 1c is detected. By roll diameter ratio arithmetic circuits 11b, 11c, with output signal from the rotational frequency detectors 10b, 10c, arithmetic is performed on the roll diameter ratio of the carrier roll. By correcting circuits 12b, 12c, with correcting signal for output signal from the roll diameter ratio arithmetic circuits 11b, 11c, detecting signal from current detectors 5b, 5c is corrected. Then, by load balancing circuits 13b, 13c, a deviation between output from the correcting circuits 12b, 12c and the detecting signal from the current detectors 5b, 5c is computed. By the output of the load balancing circuits 13b, 13c, the field current of the DC motors 1b, 1c is controlled.
