PURPOSE:To make a reversing mill operatable at a high speed with a high torque, by shifting a rolling roll in its axial direction, and by interlocking a driving motor with a pinion-gear force separator. CONSTITUTION:A truck, freely movable by its wheels 3, is put upon a couple of parallel rails 1; a couple of rolling rolls 5, 5' are supported by bearings set on this truck. A pinion-gear force separator 6, interlocked with the rolling rolls 5, 5', is also installed on the truck. An input shaft 10 of this force separator 6 is connected through a universal joint 11 with a rotary shaft 9 of a big power driving motor 8 stationarily set upon the ground. |
